The M Horizon (UK) Limited

Specialists in Maritime Boundaries (delineation and delimitation), Subsurface Geophysical Analysis related to offshore windfarms and CCS, and Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA).

Services

International Maritime Boundary delimitation

“Question of the Delimitation of the Continental Shelf between Nicaragua and Colombia beyond 200 nautical miles from the Nicaraguan Coast (Nicaragua v. Colombia)” at the International Court of Justice in The Hague. Acted as Technical Adviser to the Government of Colombia. Judgment delivered by the Court in Colombia’s favour on 13 July 2023.

Subsurface geophysical analysis related to offshore windfarms

Assisted with site selection for floating offshore wind projects in Irish waters by providing data catalogue review and advising on additional potential data sources for the area to the main contractor, as well as providing insights on site selection constraints in Irish waters. This included geophysical analysis highlighting shallow gas presence and seepage.

Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA)

Chaired the Steering Committee that delivered Ireland’s EU obligations regarding SEAs (IOSEA1 to IOSEA4) for Oil and Gas Activity in Ireland’s Offshore Waters.
